Principal Investigator
Ulrich Ansorge is the PI of the current project and holds a Professorship in Experimental and Cognitive Psychology at the Department of Psychological Basic Research and Research Methods at the University of Vienna. He is is an expert on visual attention and eye-tracking. He conducted and published several important studies using a wide variety of behavioral and EEG methods.

Co-Principal Investigator
Soonja Choi, the co-PI, will be in charge of the linguistic aspects of the project and all aspects of the child experiments. Since her doctoral dissertation (1986) on child language development comparing across Korean, English, and French, Choi has conducted research on spatial semantics and modality/evidentiality with crosslinguistic comparisons using both naturalistic and experimental data. In recent years she has conducted adult studies as well. Several of her publications in these domains have made major contributions to further research in those areas.

Senior Scientist / Scientific Coordinator
Dr. Florian Goller is in charge of coordinating the different studies, programming and running the experiments as well as conducting analyses and drafting the manuscripts. As a psychologist by training, he wrote his doctoral thesis in the field of vision research and attention capture, but has also done research in the field of linguistics.

PhD Student
Alexandra Kroiss, the PhD student of the project, will work on a dissertation that involves language and cognition comparing German and Korean speakers and L2 learners. During her studies in Applied Linguistics she worked in different projects including cross-linguistic comparisons (Turkish, French, and German) on child language acquisition (L1 & L2) and phonetics.
